Blog #24 What is meditation and why is it essential for earth angels?
Hi earth angels. Happy new moon. News moons are a chance for a fresh start and a new beginning. New moons are dark and the perfect time to release what no longer serves you like pain, harshness or pressure. Releasing pain, harshness and pressure at the new moon creates space for your angels to lead you towards new beginnings of a peaceful heart and a pain free body. New moons enhance your intuitive channels to receive more divine downloads that support your body in healing. What is meditation and why is it essential for earth angels? Meditation is defined, “as a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.” Meditation is focus. Meditation is a tool to focus your intellectual mind to become aware of and follow your intuitive heart. Your heart is the gateway to your angel's love and a huge portal to receive intuitive downloads. Meditation helps you still your monkey mind so you can let your compassionate, intuitive heart lead. Meditation is an essential tool of the earth angel. As an earth angel you are highly sensitive and highly intuitive. This means that you can sense energies beyond normal human limits. You can also receive direct angel guidance through your inner vision, your inner hearing and your inner knowing. You are sure you have strong intuitive abilities even if it times you ignore or dismiss them. Your daily meditation practices clears your energy, expands your intuition and helps you trust your body's truthful wisdom. Meditation helps you focus on your strengths and gifts as well as creates space for your angel’s love to fill your body. Although you meditate every day as part of your sacred self care, you may notice that your meditation practice heightens your ability to receive divine downloads during the moon cycles. Meditation is not complicated or difficult, of course when you are in pain, whether it's physical or emotional pain, it can seem like the last thing you want to do is slow down and focus. There are many different types of meditation. I am not an expert in meditation although I have been meditating every day since 2007. I was first introduced to meditation as part of my yoga teacher training in 2000. I was 21 years old when I entered yoga teacher training. Although I loved yoga, I was a bit intimated to become a yoga teacher. I was also, to say the least, a little distracted with my personal life and my budding relationship with my soulmate. Yoga teacher training was on Saturdays at 8am. I would often stay out too late Friday night and be pretty tired when I got to class the next morning. I loved the yoga stretches and instruction but when it came to the meditation part, I would often fall asleep. Back then I would beat myself up for falling asleep in meditation and worry that if I wasn’t being a good student how can I be a good teacher? Of course I thought “I can't meditate” and had lots of thoughts and feelings about my meditation practice. I didn't commit to a daily practice of meditation for another 7 years until 2007, when I became a Reiki Master. The first meditation that changed me was the “Loving Kindness Meditation” created by Reiki teacher Billie Topa Tate. I thought the loving kindness meditation was the best meditation in the world. It had a little bit of everything. It was 26 minutes and it really trained my brain to focus on all that was good within me and others. There is a part of the mediattoon where you OM, maybe 20-25 times, It was always so profound for me, especially since I usually did the meditation once a week in a large group. I was able to stay awake, yay! The loving kindness meditation helped me feel my soul, feel my heart and feel my oneness with the Divine. I began to commit to a daily meditation practice which has continued to evolve. I discovered the best type of meditation that works for me, is guided meditation. Guided meditation gives your busy mind a journey to go on. Focusing your mind on the inner journey actually creates space in your body for divine downloads and angelic love to flow. When you are in pain, your mind can wander to worst case scenarios, whats ifs and worries. Worrying about pain intensifies the pain and creates more tension, blocking your angel's love from flowing. Your body instantly responds to fear or love. When fear is ready to release from the body it shows up as pain. Pain is a sign you are ready to heal another layer of fear. Pain reminds you to slow down so you can relax, release and receive. When you feed your body and mind guided angel meditations you can provide instant angelic pain relief.
